Unlike dolphins, whose fake smiles are rigidly fixed like those of politicians' spouses, belugas can convey all manner of emotion, from bemusement to concern, from wariness to glee, from eagerness to ennui. Well, that's how it looks to my anthropomorphic eye, anyway.
